2. What we collect

We collect the following types of information:

• Account information — name, email address, password (encrypted)
• Profile information — skills, industry, work preferences, bio, and other details you provide during onboarding
• LinkedIn data — if you choose to connect your LinkedIn account, we collect basic profile information (name, headline, email)
• Enrichment data — information derived from your website or interview responses, processed by AI
• Payment information — processed by Stripe. We do not store your card details
• Chat messages — messages you send to your matches
• Usage data — how you interact with the service (matches accepted, connections made)

3. How we use your information

We use your information to:

• Operate and improve the service
• Generate AI-powered co-founder matches
• Process payments and refunds
• Communicate with you about your account
• Enforce our Terms of Service

4. How we share your information

Your profile is only visible to the person you are matched with on a given day. There is no public profile directory.

We share information with the following third parties:

• Stripe — for payment processing
• Google Firebase — for authentication and data storage
• Anthropic (Claude AI) — for match scoring, profile analysis, and talking point generation

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your information with advertisers.

5. AI processing

We use AI to analyse your profile, generate match scores, and create conversation suggestions. Your profile data and interview responses are sent to our AI provider (Anthropic) for processing. This data is used solely for the purpose of operating the matching service and is subject to Anthropic's data handling policies.

6. Data security

We use industry-standard security measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), secure authentication (Firebase Auth), and PCI-compliant payment processing (Stripe). However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.

7. Your rights

Under the Australian Privacy Act, you have the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate information
• Request deletion of your account and associated data
• Complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) if you believe we have breached your privacy

8. Data retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal information within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it by law or for legitimate business purposes (e.g. payment records for tax compliance).

We use essential cookies for authentication and session management. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you via email or a notice on the service.
